Fake 4 star hotel.. it’s not even 3 star.. It took me 35-40 min to find parking area as no one was there to help.. parking was full as they had marriage function.. no parking for those staying there.. I carried all my luggage to room and no one helped.. Rooms not clean and Worst buffet breakfast i ever had.. only 3-4 options. Not recommended for family stay
I am writing to express my severe dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Hotel Royal Park, Chandigarh, on the 20th of this month. Having booked my rooms a full month in advance, I expected a seamless check-in experience; however, the reality was entirely the opposite. Upon arrival at 1:00 PM, my group and I were made to wait for two hours despite our confirmed, long-standing reservation. To make matters worse, the staff’s lack of hospitality was evident from the start—despite multiple requests, we were not even offered basic drinking water while we waited. After an exhausting delay, our four rooms were provided one by one in a disorganized manner. The most concerning aspect of our stay, however, was the food quality. It was evident that the hotel served stale food (Paneer and Dal) during dinner that had been prepared earlier in the day. The Paneer had clearly gone bad due to the heat, emitting a noticeable foul odor. Given that my booking included a MAP plan, we expected fresh, hygienic meals. Instead, we were left with no choice but to pay extra at the hotel’s own restaurant just to have a fresh, edible meal. I ended up going to bed hungry that night, as the experience completely ruined our appetite. I chose not to switch hotels at that late hour to avoid disturbing my family, but the overall lack of professionalism and the disregard for guest health and basic service standards were unacceptable. I strongly advise fellow travelers to avoid this hotel. The management clearly prioritizes banquet functions over the comfort and safety of their residential guests. My stay was a total waste of money and a deeply frustrating experience.
I recently stayed at Royal Park Resort, Chandigarh, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. The biggest issue was cleanliness. The buckets, mugs, drinking glasses, sinks, mirrors, and bedsheets all appeared poorly maintained. The buckets were especially disturbing to use, as they looked and felt as if something dirty had been stuck to them for a long time. Instead of feeling clean and hygienic, many of the basic amenities gave an unpleasant and uncomfortable impression. The washroom facilities were also disappointing. The shower pressure was extremely weak and felt more like water slowly draining than an actual shower. There was also no proper cold water supply available during our stay, which was a major inconvenience. Despite other rooms appearing vacant, we were initially allotted one of the poorest rooms. After repeatedly raising concerns, we were eventually shifted to a larger room, but most of the same problems remained. The management seemed largely uninterested in resolving guest complaints properly. Another frustrating issue was the air conditioning. Guests could not freely adjust the temperature themselves, as the AC appeared to be centrally controlled by the management. This made it difficult to maintain a comfortable room temperature. The food was acceptable in some areas, but I would strongly advise caution with the non-vegetarian dishes, as they tasted unusual and did not feel particularly fresh. I would like to mention that the night staff were polite and tried to help. The real problem seemed to be with the property's management and overall maintenance standards rather than the staff members themselves. What surprises me most is that this hotel advertises itself as a 4-star property. Based on my experience, the quality, cleanliness, maintenance, and guest service were nowhere near what one would expect from a genuine 4-star hotel. The stars seem to exist only on paper, not in reality. Overall, this stay was highly disappointing and not worth the money spent. Unless significant improvements are made, I would not recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable and hygienic stay.
We had one night stay at this place on our last day of family vacation, and it was very nice. The hotel itself is huge with plenty of rooms and banquet n all. Ours was upgraded to luxury room on the top floor which had an amazing view. The room was huge with all facilities. Our stay included buffet dinner and breakfast, which were also very nice. The restaurant was so big with cool ambience. The service was good and there is food parking place also. Highly recommended.
